Full house for this tribute to French Director Patrice Chéreau @ Théatre de l'Odéon, one of the most beautiful theatre in Paris, last time we were there it was to see Marianne Faithfull reading Shakespeare's sonnets last year (link here).
Many years again, I guess it was 15 years ago, we went to see Lou Reed reading his lyrics.
For tonight's show, Many artists came to talk about Patrice Chéreau or read a letter or some dialogues from a play.
French actors Michel Piccoli, Charlotte Rampling, Valeria Bruni-Tedeschi, Isabelle Huppert, Gérard Desarthe and a couple of others including German director Peter Stein
Laure Adler was the MC for tonight's tribute introducing guests and extracts of documentary or play that wereshown on the screen.
Marianne Faithfull read a text from one of her song: "Sleep" that was in a Chéreau movie, Jane Birkin closed the night with the only song of this tribute to director Patrice Chéreau, singing on her own "L'Amour de moi".
