Peter Doherty et son nouvel acolyte Français Frederic Lo sont en tournée promotionnelle afin de nous vendre leur nouvel album "The fantasy life of poesy & crime" tout juste sorti.

150 personnes inscrites préalablement sur le site de la Fnac se dirigent tranquillement vers le lieu du showcase, il est loin le temps ou Pete provoquait des émeutes dans la Capitale. Désormais tout le monde est bien calme.

Ce que ne change pas, par contre, c'est le retard de Pete, une bonne demi-heure mais peu importe.

La rencontre débute par un petit entretien d'une quinzaine de minutes sur le travail entre les deux musiciens, le genèse du projet et l'enregistrement. Les réponses de Peter restent légèrement évasives, pas facile de se concentrer entre sa bière, son chien ou ses mouchoirs. Frederic est un peu plus précis.

Puis c'est au tour d'un concert acoustique d'une bonne demi-heure avec plus d'une dizaine de titres. Difficile de retranscrire les arrangements soignés de l'album avec juste une guitare acoustique mais les nouveaux titres passent bien même en version dépouillée.

Une séance de dédicaces clôture cette petite heure dans une ambiance bon enfant.

On attend avec impatience de voir le groupe à l’œuvre sur une vraie scène, ce sera chose faite au Trianon le 05 Mai.

New ROLLING STONES album "Blue & Lonesome" out on Dec 02

On 2nd December 2016, The Rolling Stones will release ‘Blue & Lonesome’, their first studio album in over a decade. ‘Blue & Lonesome’ takes the band back to their roots and the passion for blues music which has always been at the heart and soul of The Rolling Stones.
The album was produced by Don Was and The Glimmer Twins and was recorded over the course of just three days in December last year at British Grove Studios in West London, just a stone’s throw from Richmond and Eel Pie Island where the Stones started out as a young blues band playing pubs and clubs. Their approach to the album was that it should be spontaneous and played live in the studio without overdubs. The band – Mick Jagger (vocals & harp), Keith Richards (guitar), Charlie Watts (drums), and Ronnie Wood (guitar) were joined by their long time touring sidemen Darryl Jones (bass), Chuck Leavell (keyboards) and Matt Clifford (keyboards) and, for two of the twelve tracks, by old friend Eric Clapton, who happened to be in the next studio making his own album.
‘Blue & Lonesome’ sees the Rolling Stones tipping their hats to their early days as a blues band when they played the music of Jimmy Reed, Willie Dixon, Eddie Taylor, Little Walter and Howlin’ Wolf – artists whose songs are featured on this album.
