English blues rockers WHITESNAKE turned L.A. Cock-Rock Posers are bringing out the best of juices with their own wine out called "Zinfandel 2010" on July 1st.

Of course it's a wine from California , it can be order directly from the winery HERE for 30 dollars a bottle.

Here's what Whitesnake singer David Coverdale is saying about it :

Very early session for this sunday as Mia Doi Todd, who already did an Oliver Peel session in April (click for review), is back in Paris but has to catch her train on time.
Lovely tiny voice over an acoustic guitar for this folk artist with south American influences.
She has a great record out & the video for the single was done by French director Michel Gondry.
Very different audience today with lots of new faces (Where are the regulars ?) including French-American actor Jean-Marc Barr & folk artist Erica Buettner, who will be playing this very same place next saturday.

Headlining is Jeanne Madic aka Vanishing Twins, she already played supporting probably the most talented folk artist ever to grace Oliver's : Simone White.
Jeanne is also a regular and we saw her playing the Scopitone club in Paris.
She's playing a very conceptual music on diatonic & chromatic accordion with projections on a "screen" then we had a proper song as an Encore, a personal version of " My Girl" also covered by Nirvana.

Second show for MUSE @ Stade de France and it's SOLD-OUT once again.
We have tix in the front pit, we get there on the right, too bad Matthew is on the other side.
The stage is massive with a beautiful architecture.
We didn't see any of the support bands Dewchka, White Lies & Kasabian.

MUSE gets on the stage @ 9:20PM to a massive reception from the audience, luckily the pit is far from being packed where we are standing and we have a clear view.
The sound is neat and Matthew's vocals perfect ( Too perfect ?!?)

Going to a MUSE concert is a bit like going to U2, RHCP or Supertramp, even without listening to any of their records you know most of the songs as they're played constantly on radios.

In fact the stage on which they're playing is prety small and the band isn't really moving a lot , even Matthew. He went only twice or maybe 3 times on the other side.
They stole the idea of the small stage moving forward to The Rolling Stones ( see Pic above) and the small elevated platform ( see Pic below) to AC/DC.

One of the coolest thing of the show was the "Spaceship" flying over the audience with the girl underneath.
You might like or not the music, yes it is really pompous but you have to admit that MUSE really put on a great stadium show.
Maybe they should, especially the bass player, move a bit more and use the space better on that fantastic stage.

SUPERGRASS + Charly Coombes & the New Breed

Supergrass is playing its last ever show before splitting @ Cigale in Paris.
Of course it's SOLD-OUT.

Charly Coombes & The New Breed is opening, they started very early so we could only catch the last 3-4 songs. Very nice set.

Then it's time to SUPERGRASS to take the stage for a final bow...in Paris.
How cool is that !

Nice & lively atmosphere in the audience but I don't really feel particular emotional moments as if it was a normal concert.
The pit down the front is packed and jumping up & down thanks to the very "elastic" floor.

They are playing 4 songs from each record starting with "Diamond hoo Ha" and then going back in time from one record to the other ("Road to rouen", "Life on other planets", "Supergrass", "In it for the money", "I should coco")

Each album is introduced by a very short movie.

The original trio is on stage plus Charly on guitar & Percussion & a keyboard player.
Just the three of them for most of the songs from the early records.
Great songs, they always been a great pop-rock band on stage.

2 songs for the Encore ending the set with the very first song they wrote together: " Caught by The Fuzz"( Part1) , Part 2 HERE (click for videos)
Funny: Mickey wanted to break his bass guitar on the drums and Danny refused, he even didn't want to smash the bass guitar even though Mickey asked him too ( see part 2 on video)
Gaz thanked the audience but it was strange, you couldn't feel it was their last ever show.
I thought it would be more emotional than that !
