Black Sabbath @ Paris Bercy, Dec 02 2013
First show of BLACK SABBATH with in Paris in a very long time, probably since 1977.
Last time it was with Tony Martin as the singer for the Forbidden album around 1995 @ The tiny Elysée Montmartre theatre.
Heaven & Hell played with the late Ronnie James Dio in 2009 @ Casino de Paris

Funnily enough only 11000 tickets sold out of 16000.
Useless support band Uncle Acid & the deadbeats
Amen.

Lots of young people in the audience
Very rowdy audience down the front, really crazy...
Stage is beautiful with 3 huge screens in the back Tommy Clufetos in the back on drums replacing Bill Ward, Geezer Butler on the left, Tony Iommi on the right and Ozzy dead center.
Sound is neat and great lightning
Ozzy is in fine spirit and healthy even though he seemed a bit tired at the end of the almost 2 hour set.
Perfect set with lots of oldies and the best of the new album "13", 3 songs including "End of the beginning" here on video
AWSOME GIG !!!

Eric Burdon & The Animals @ Olympia, Paris Nov 26 2013

Eric Burdon & The Animals @ Olympia, Paris Nov 26 2013
The Animals (well what's left of...) were in Paris a few months ago at the tiny New Morning club now it's their singer ERIC BURDON.Last time Eric played Paris was at the Trabendo club, he also played a full show for France Inter radio in 2006.
Nice surprise the Olympia is quite full for this all seated event, of course  tickets were very expensive : 90 euros for the best seats down the front.
French singer Camille Bazbaz is opening, alone with a keyboard...well that was ok.

Then Legendary Eric Burdon is introduced on stage by the promoter, He's looking good, short white hair, sunglasses, jacket and scarf over a "peace-sign" tee-shirt. 7 musicians on stage including Eric Mac Fadden on guitar.
To  our surprise some of his most famous songs are played in the first part of the set, see setlist below for details, we're wondering what would be left for the encore. These songs are re-orchestrated for good, well..."Misunderstood"  is too slow compare to the original version.
We also have songs from the very good new record "Till your river runs dry", the band is tight and Eric's voice is fine.
"We're gonna get out of this place " is stretched out past the 10 min mark with guitar and keyboard soli, too bad that the audience, mostly in their late fifties, is a bit too quiet. We have to wait for the encore, 70 min after the start for them to stand up.
The band is leaving the stage after a rousing version of "I'm crying" here on video.
A second encore would have been perfect as they've only played for a bit more than 80 min.
Great show.

Jake Bugg @ Album de la Semaine, Canal+, Paris Nov 20 2013

Jake Bugg @ Album de la Semaine, Canal+, Paris Nov 20 2013

see ya there for this tv show, one day before his show @ Olypia to play songs from the new album "Shangri La"

Setlist: 1) There's a beast 2) Strorm passes 3) Messed up kis 4) Pine Trees 5) Song about love 6) All your reasons 7) Scumville sunrise 8) What doesn't kill ya

Jake Bugg with a drummer and a bass player only playing his new song, a bit different than his first album, now there are some proper rock songs mixed with some acoustic stuff and his trademark Roy Orbison/ Johnny Cash stuff. The little fucker is talented, whatever style he's playing he's good.
