Joey Kramer is having his minute of fame with a drum solo ( hopefully it's not too long), Steven is joining in for a few seconds.
Joe Perry is also having a solo spot singing one on his own " Stop messing around" ...well OK. Great guitar playing but the vocals are poor.Keith Richards' syndrom.
JOE "FUCKING" PERRY in action !
The last third of the show is fantastic, hard to beat Aerosmith when they're playing their best songs : Sweet Emotion, Baby Please Don't Go ( great version), Draw The Line, Dream On, Walk This Way, Toys In The Attic.
See Ya Paris
Mixed feeling about this gig, they could have done so much better. With the correct setlist they can kick anybody's ass but NOT tonight.

Aerosmith is already in Paris. They will be playing tomorrow night (June 29) @ Paris Bercy Robert Trujillo from Metallica is also in Paris.
Other news: Nous productions & Green Day are looking for the girl ( Melissa ? Alisson ? ) who sung with Green Day on Longview (click to watch this ROCKERPARIS video)@ Parc des Princes in Paris contact : contact@nousproductions.com or ROCKERPARIS.
I've been told that IRON MAIDEN will play 2 shows in Paris Bercy in February 2011. Not confirmed yet.
Dont believe all the shit regarding French rock band TELEPHONE getting back together & playing several shows @ Stade de France. It is COMPLETE BULLSHIT. I wish it was true but it's NOT. There has been an official statement from Jean Louis Aubert denying this.
Updated 11:00 Pm (French Time, 10:00 Pm UK Time): It wasn't "Live" and they only played a bit more than 60 min with Messages between each song for the Petition. The "Live" broadcast is over now but they're re-playing the show from the beginning so stay tuned if you missed the beginning because of Argentina- Mexico.
Live Broadcast from Hard Rock calling Fest @ Hyde Park in London. it is NOW HERE 8:30 PM UK Time
After playing Bercy a few months ago ( click for review, Pics & Video), The tiny Trabendo (click for...) & L'Album de la Semaine TV show for Canal+; Green Day is back in Paris. This time for the Stadium Tour @ the Paris St Germain football team homeplace Le Parc des Princes. As you can see on the Pic below there are still a few seats left in the back but the rest of the stalls (on both sides) is packed. Once again with Green Day it's a VERY early start (8:00Pm) so I'm 45 min late.
I can't believe what I'm seeing, it is the shittest stage I have EVER seen in a stadium. There are a couple of small backdrops on the sides and a couple of screens and... That's it. Complete crap compare to MUSE, AC/DC or U2 ( click for Pics of these shows).
The music is... what it is, a funny power pop, Billy is always running, making the audience sing all the time (OOoohhs & AAaahhs ). Massive response from the kids in the pit, in the stalls where i'm seating it's all age everyone jumping up & down to the music. Lots of hits & catchy tunes and a few average songs too. As usual Billy is having a couple of people on stage to sing with him (see video here) giving away his guitar to one of them ( see end of video). A few pyrotechnics & flames all along the gig, too bad it started so early as we only get the full light show after 2/3 of the show. So it was like seeing the headlining band with the same conditions as the opening acts on that shitty stage. They've done extracts from a few covers, including GNR's "Sweet child O mine", AC/DC's "Highway to Hell" and a few others ("stand by Me", "Shout"...) They had a girl from the audience call Melissa to sing with them on "Longview" (here on video) maybe not the best singer but that teenager girl has turned the Parc des princes upside down with her inner-power. A bit annoying when they're streching out songs to have the people sing or clap their hands.
SETLIST (from Green Day france): Song of the Century 21st Century Breakdown Know Your Enemy East Jesus Nowhere Holiday The Static Age Give Me Novacaine Are We The Waiting St. Jimmy Boulevard Of Broken Dreams Nice guys finish last Geek stink breath Hitchin' a ride Welcome to paradise Sweet Child of Mine/Highway to Hell Brainstew Jaded Longview Basket Case She King For A Day Shout (The Isley Brothers cover ) / I Can't Get no Satisfaction/Hey Jude 21 Guns Minority --- American Idiot Jesus of Suburbia --- Tell me when it's time to say I love you Wake me up when september ends Good Riddance (Time of your life)
Very long concert, they're on stage for 2h50 min A average/good show, it's much better to see them indoor.
June 27 Live broadcast on Youtube 9:30 PM ( French Time) This is the Hard Rock Calling gig @ Hyde Park, London
Crosby, Stills & Nash( click for a review, Pics & video of their last show in Paris), Crowded House, Elvis Costello, Joshua Radin plus many more have been added to the bill and will be joining Paul McCartney ( click for review, Pics & Videos of his last show in Paris) on Sunday 27 June at Hard Rock Calling 201
Warren Haynes is back in Paris, last time he played at the tiny Trabendo, now it's the Hot & Sweaty Bataclan strangely enough it's not sold-out.
Johnny Gallagher opened the show but we were too late to see him. Early start as Govt Mule is taking the stage @ 8:15 PM
As you can guess it was a guitar festival for more than 2 hours, I only have one album so I'm not really familiar with all the songs but believe me baby ! It was guitar, Guitar ... and more guitar.
Warren played a mix of bluesy rock tunes streched out to more than 15 min for some of them with also had a very long jazz-rock instrumental that probably lasted more than 20 min. That's cool with us as we're guitar fanatics. The band is usually playing over two sets with a short intermission in between but as the Bataclan has a strict curfew we only one ( long) set . The poor Warren is sweating buckets so we are. The gig ended in the nicest way with a cover of The Doors'" When the music's over".
The Black Keys @ L'Album de la Semaine Canal+ Paris June 22 2010
Last recording of the season for Canal+ TV show L'Album de la Semaine and we're lucky to get a great band: The Black Keys. They just have a record out and they're here to promote it. Lots of people tonight more than 200 people for this "Private gig" ( Concert Privé) which means that it's , technically, NOT an " Album de la Semaine" as we're gonna get a full concert and not only 7-8 songs.
The Black Keys are playing a heavy blues Rock with lots of distortion on guitar à laBuddy Guy but more heavy. They've enhanced their sound as they are getting two more musicians after a couple of songs for the rest of the gig ( but the last two songs). The addition of a bass player and a keyboard player gives an extra flavor to their sound. Maybe a purist would prefer then with a raw sound not us. I'm prety sure than with this enhanced sound they're gonna get new fan I'm already conquered.
GREAT gig, see setlist above for details
Then I went to the Grand Rex Theatre to see the end of the "live"broadcast of the BIG FOUR with Anthrax, Megadeth, Slayer & Metallica. I've watched the last twenty minutes of Metallica with a great jam on " Am I evil" feat. all bands, So cool to see them on the same stage specially Dave playing with his old bandmates.
"Am I Evil" feat. Metallica, Slayer, Anthrax & Megadeth:
We were @ The Hellfest on that day but while we were watching KISS destroying Clisson, SLASH was playing a "club" show in Paris @ the hot & sweaty Bataclan Alice Cooper was a surprise guest at the end of the gig with a very nice rendition of "School's Out".
