The Ghost of a Saber Tooth Tiger featuring Sean Lennon & Charlotte Kemp Muhl + Singtank @ Maroquinerie, Paris Sept 17 2014

Sean competing for a George or John circa '69 "lookalike" competition.

After opening for Beck @ Zénith on Sept 11 and playing the Rock en Seine festival in August the band is back in Paris, headlining this time.
Support band: Sing Tank with Model/Actress Justine de La Baume & Bro.

Wah Wah "Cry Baby" Jimi Hendrix Box behind the stage (not to be confused with George Harrison's "wah wah" song, doesn't sound the same lol)
Sean Lennon and Charlotte

Good show with a rock band for some very 60's orientated Pop-Rock songs
Only 45 min 60 min with no encore, come on guys, I'm sure you can do better !
Sound was perfect from the back but lightning was complete shit, hard to make a decent picture.
Nice Beatles T-Shirt and setlistand that Jimi Hendrix"Cry baby" box once again

Miles Kane @ Maroquinerie, Paris May 22 2013

Miles Kane @ Maroquinerie, Paris May 22 2013
We're getting into the tiny Maroquinerie as the opening band is playing its last song, of course it's packed as the show is long sold-out.
it's 9:00pm sharp when Miles Kane & friends are making their way onto the stage, Miles is here to introduce us to his new solo album out next week but all the young girls down the front know all the lyrics already.
A few weeks ago on April 22 @ Canal+ tv show L'Album de la Semaine we were lucky to see him performing some of the new songs, that sounding great and really rocking even though conditions at a tv show are more clinical.
Tonight in front of a "real" audience things are more organic, Miles is Rockin' like never before and always... with a smile to the girls from the first row.

See setlist (underneath) for details, first song of the Encore  "Colour of the trap" is performed alone by Miles on acoustic guitar.
Last song "Don't forget who you are" is also the tee shirt sold at the merchandise table tonight that was wearing all the roadies
The whole show was professionally video recorded by several cameras.
Great gig !

Peter Doherty @ Maroquinerie, Paris Feb 04 2013

Peter Doherty @ Maroquinerie, Paris Feb 04 2013
Late start with several opening bands but... Peter was on 5 min before the schedule time @ 10:15.
All Acoustic show with the dancers for one song and a French Girl on mouth harp and BV for one song.
He left the stage @ 11:35pm, his roadie had the guitar ready for an encore and after a couple of min someone came to tell him that it was over.
The electric guitar was on stage but not used once, too bad.
Usual show with an audience that was listening carefully, a first, and as usual a couple of drunk cunts talking loudly and annoying people around them, removed by the security.
Good atmosphere though, not electric but relax.

James Iha @ Maroquinerie, Paris Dec 05 2012

James Iha @ Maroquinerie, Paris Dec 05 2012
Former SMASHING PUMPKINS and A PERFECT CIRCLE  guitar player James Iha playing @ Maroquinerie to promote his second solo record

Hard to believe that there is a show tonight @ Maroquinerie, when we arrived there at 8:00pm , there's no one outside, in fact people are waiting in the corridor, no more than 10 people and everybody's waiting for the guest list to open. They do have several guest-lists and they are full of names so I guess that they only sold a few dozens tickets.
James Iha is playing with two musicians, one on guitar and one on keyboards plus a drum machine.
He's playing mainly his new album, well it's for most of it dull and boring, there are a couple of covers: Patti smith's "dancing barefoot" and the SPumpkins' "mayonnaise" and these two are the only decent songs performed tonight. His voice is weak and sometimes off key, he looks as if he doesn't give a fuck.
60 min show with no encore,  he didn't come back even though people asked for more, I'm really wondering why they asked him back, it was sooo boring.
Hard to believe that this guy was in the Smashing Pumpkins.

What the fuck was I doing here when Mark Lanegan is playing at the Trabendo ?!?

Armored Saint @ Maroquinerie, Paris July 10 2012

Armored Saint @ Maroquinerie, Paris July 10 2012

Classic heavy Rock metallers Armored saint is playing its first ever concert in Paris, France just a few days after playing the French Sonisphere in Metz.
The band formed at the beginning of the 80's disbanded in 1992 when John Bush left for Anthrax, the band is back together since 2008.
Small gathering of fans outside but when the band is taking the stage by storm it's quite full.
Classic line-up (John Bush , Phil Sandoval, Joey Vera, Gonzo Sandoval) with Jeff Duncan on guitars.
The band is happy to finally play in Paris and is rocking like maniacs on the the tiny stage.
The band never had the success they deserved, too bad they do have great Heavy Rock songs.
John's singing hasn't changed a bit, wonder how it would have sounded in Metallica.
The band is playing all the classics way back from their first ep, they're also playing a brand new song "Monkey" dedicated to a L.A. douchbag.
John's family: wife & kids are watching from the wings of the stage
The Encore is epic with "Lesson well learned", on "Can U Deliver" & " Mad house" John is inviting his younger kid on stage to "play" some guitar (see video below). all in a very friendly and lively atmosphere.
great set
