Roger Waters "The Wall" @ Stade de France, Paris Sept 21 2013

Roger Waters "The Wall" @ Stade de France, Paris Sept 21 2013

Last show on "The Wall" world Tour that lasted two years.

Nick Mason at the hotel this afternoon before the show
Roger Waters is playing his last show of "The Wall" World Tour in Paris. It started 3 years ago playing arenas then stadium. Roger Waters has never been so popular.

We saw "The Wall" in Paris Bercy arena 2 years ago for two shows on May 30 2011 (click for pics a nd video) and on May 31 2011 (click for Pics and video). Great shows.

When we're making our way into the stadium, it's a good surprise it's full ( some of the press are talking about 72000 people out of a 80000 capacity).
The wall is already very impressive from the back going from the left hand side to the right hand side.
Show start: 8:40.
"In the flesh" is impressive with all pyrotechnics and the plane is going down in flames on time.

Will be too long to describe all the projections on The Wall, it's the album played in its entirety from the first song to the last with a couple of bits added and a couple of speeches from Roger.
For the people who were @ Paris Bercy , this is even more impressive: everything is bigger and projections are absolutely stunning.
This is perfect for a stadium where you don't have to be standing down the front to appreciate the show, in fact the best seat was in the middle of the pit to appreciate the full Wall projections.
Needless to tell you that the sound is perfect which is very rare at the Stade de France.

We met Nick Mason in Paris that afternoon, we thought he might join the band for the finale with all the musicians , in fact he didn't which is a shame, it could have been fun for the last show.
Probably the most memorable show I have ever seen in a stadium

Placebo @ Fnac St Lazare, Paris Sept 19 2013

Placebo @ Fnac St Lazare, Paris Sept 19 2013
 suck it baby !

We had nothing to sign, I mean we gave up listening to that band years ago but we popped up there so we can get a few pics, lots of dedicated fans and you HAD to buy the new album in order to get it signed. They didn't want to sign anything else and the security was watching.Nice.
Placebo played yesterday night @ Album de la Semaine, they've performed around 15 songs and replayed one song three times as they were not satisfied with it from what I've been told.

London Grammar @ Fnac Forum, Paris Sept 17 2013

London Grammar @ Fnac Forum, Paris Sept 17 2013
New English pop sensation London Grammar with the very sexy Hannah Reid on vocals playing 5 songs at the Fnac store in front of a young audience.
They are the flavour of the month in England, nice showcase with some very ambient & ethereal pop songs that reminds you of Lana Del Rey.

The band is doing lots of promo in Paris playing Le Grand Journal (click for video) yesterday night and doing many radio shows so you'll probably hear them somewhere these next few days.

Madness @ Olympia, Paris Sept 16 2013

Madness @ Olympia, Paris Sept 16 2013

Another great moment with MADNESS
Yeah baby, another great evening with MADNESS, the band is back in Paris just a few months after playing the Trianon theatre (on March 11 2013).
The Olympia is quite full, almost sold-out and all ages gathered to dance to the music of Madness.
As usual the band is starting the set with "One step beyond" so that everybody can get in the mood straight away by dancing like mad.  The atmosphere is lively and friendly down the front with many English ( not too drunk).
The singers are making you feel as if it was home and the guys are enjoying themselves and so is the audience, hard to do wrong with some many great songs (see setlist below for details), and a couple of newbies too.
Another great moment with MADNESS, told'ya !
