Two Door Cinema Club + The Aerial @ Studio SFR, Paris Sept 12 2012

The AerialFirst on stage in this tiny space near
La Madeleine is
The Aerial, we already saw them opening for
Paul Personne for a free show @ the
3rd district Town Hall this July.
Up-tempo electro-pop-rock that all the kids like, not really our stuff but they were OK.

Then we have trendy band
Two Door Cinema club.
The first time we heard of them was when they opened for
Phoenix @
Olympia on March 22 2010, we were not there but they did a showcase the afternoon at the
Fnac Montparnasse store and played a 4-song acoustic set.
They came back later that year for a sold-out show @
La Cigale and @ the
Rock en Seine festival on August 28 2010 in front of a huge audience on the second stage.
It's one of those bands that are playing the same kind of music as
The falls or
Vampire Weekend, lots of up-tempo songs with a disco beat and some African influences, well... it's less obvious than for
Vampire Weekend for the African influences.
They have a couple of very catchy tunes but everything seems to sound a bit the same in the end.
Nevertheless they did a powerful & enjoyable show.
