secret & private concert for Carmignac
A l'époque la nouvelle s'était répandue comme une traînée de poudre et ça avait été un beau bazar dehors pour entrer, ce soir c'est très calme devant le théâtre, le secret a bien été gardé.
Tout le monde fait sagement la queue, à l'intérieur sécurité renforcée -attentats obliges- impossible de faire deux mètres sans tomber sur un vigile, un membre du staff ou une hôtesse ( toutes charmantes ).
Petit buffet à l'étage avant le concert et entrée dans le saint des saints, au balcon pour nous, le fond de scène est impressionnant avec toute une panoplie d’objets divers collés aux murs (voir photo).[ en fait ce sont les décors de la comédie musicale CATS qui se joue dans ce théâtre]
Neil Young se met au piano seul et c'est parti pour plus de deux heures d'un concert grandiose, première partie acoustique piano/ Guitare Acoustique/ Orgue. Il est rejoint par les Promise of the Real avec les deux fils de Willy Nelson.
Une setlist impeccable -que des vieux morceaux- et les meilleurs (nos préférés).
Devant à l'orchestre il y a des fans qui mettent l'ambiance par contre au balcon c'est la douche froide pour les banquiers qui ne s'attendaient pas à un tel spectacle: un vieux avec guitare acoustique et harmonica. Seule "heart of gold" récoltera quelques maigres applaudissements. Petite surprise avec "la Vie en rose" interprétée au piano et en français par le guitariste sous le regard amusé de Neil.

Ça enchaîne direct en électrique,Le groupe de jeunots qui accompagne le vieux Neil donne toute sa puissance guitares branchées. tout doucement, si on peut dire, pour les premiers titres ( Words, Winterlong ) avant la suite ... et là c'est -Sauve qui peut- parmi les financiers avec doigts dans les oreilles et regards médusés. Là non plus ils n'en reviennent pas, si la première partie du concert leur était soporifique, c'est maintenant un déluge de feux qui s'abat sur leurs têtes.
On les laisse à leur triste sort et on fonce dans l'orchestre pour profiter pleinement de la fin du spectacle avec des versions apocalyptiques de "Love and only Love" et "Fucking Up" avec M. Carmignac dans les chœurs pour la première partie du titre.
Dantesque !!!
Le prochain concert à Bercy va être incroyable,
NON après renseignements pris auprès des bonnes personnes, le groupe a répété aux Studios Ferber de la Porte de Bagnolet pendant 2 jours, samedi et dimanche, uniquement pour le concert Carmignac avec son matos. Aucun enregistrement n'a été effectué.

Mr Carmignac, a billionaire, is a fan of rock.
Last time everybody knew that the stones were playing a gig even though they tried to kept it secret. On this monday it was still a secret only known by a few, even though all the bankers invited knew in advance that they were attending a concert by The Loner.
As we're VIP we are treated with a nice buffet before the show and by 8:30 we're heading to the balcony and our reserved seats.
Beautiful stage ( in fact it is the one from the Musical CATS that is playing in this theatre) , Mr Carmignac is introducing Neil Young on stage , who's taking the piano for the first song " After the Gold Rush", then he's taking his acoustic guitar ( "Heart of gold", "Long may you run") and organ " Mother earth". Band his joining in for the rest of the set. we have a surprise with "La Vie en Rose" (Edith Piaf) played -on piano- and sung in french, by Lucas Nelson.
Then, for the first time ever Neil Young (on piano) is playing "Till the morning comes" and for the 4th time ever "Cripple Creek Ferry". What a treat !!!

No time to rest Neil is taking is electric guitar for the... electric set.
Starting smoothly with "words" & "winterlong" if i can say so before putting the house on fire with apocalyptic -and long versions - of " Love and only love " and "Fuckin' Up" with M Carmignac doing backing vocals for the first part of the song.
Wonderful 2h20 min concert
A rumor spread quite fast that Neil Young was recording an album in Paris just because the band was seen these last few days in a recording studio ( Studio Ferber to name it ) in Paris. We wrote it here...sorry !
In fact, and after calling the right person, NOT AT ALL the band & Neil were just rehearsing ( on saturday & sunday) there for the private concert @ Théatre Mogador.
