Ty Segall @ L'Album de la Semaine, Canal+, Paris, Oct 20 2014

Ty Segall @ L'Album de la Semaine, Canal+, Paris, Oct 20 2014
Media darling Ty Segall playing Canal+ TV show L'Album de la Semaine to promote new album "Manipulator"

Wow !!! It was rocking, !!! a trip back into the 70's of American Classic Rock.

They've soundcheck briefly before getting on stage by playing snippets of Black Sabbath's "Electric Funeral".
The band was introduced by a Cow-Boy, with his moustache he was looking more like the guy from Village People that a real one, he then stayed to play keys just for the first song before exiting the stage and never to come back. I guess he could have outroduced the band it would have been fun too.
Musically it's Vintage 70's American Classic Rock with a bit of 60's psyche thrown in.
Ty is playing the guitar hero on the right handside of the stage.
7 songs for a 30 min set
Very nice

"La rage est mon énergie" / "Anger is an Energy"
Signing session with John Lydon aka Johnny Rotten tonight , he arrived @ 7:00pm ( one hour late) but was nice to everyone, signing his book and any other stuff, cds, vinyls, pics... and posing with people.
Everyone had prepared a "post it" with his name but no time to have your book personalized as there were lots of people queuing.

The first 30-40 to get in had a free t-shirt, which was very nice from the book publisher.
The store had it well done too with snacks and free drinks inside.

 My stuff...

Jean-Louis Murat @ Fnac Ternes, Paris Oct 16 2014

Jean-Louis Murat @ Fnac Ternes, Paris Oct 16 2014

Kaiser Chiefs + Teleman @ Bataclan, Paris Oct 07 2014

Kaiser Chiefs + Teleman @ Bataclan, Paris Oct 07 2014
After playing la Flèche d'Or a few months ago to present us their brand new album, Kaiser Chiefs are back in Paris. It's not Sold-out, the band is not as popular as it used to be.
Support band Teleman was just plain boring and put us all to sleep.
I was expecting a much younger audience tonight with lots of 40's at the balcony, downstairs it's much younger but still...
First song is a new song, the band is on top form specially Rick Wilson who, as always is doing the show. Latest albums were not as great at the first two , so the band is playing many old songs which are welcome with rousing applause.
Even though Rick is doing the show he's not as wild as a few years ago, he went singing a couple of songs from the balcony to the delight of people seating upstairs.
 at the balcony

The band is still kicking ass but played a very short set, they left the stage after just 75 min, I guess they could have done a bit more. They have 5 albums.
Very good gig but...
