Armored Saint @ Maroquinerie, Paris July 10 2012

Armored Saint @ Maroquinerie, Paris July 10 2012

Classic heavy Rock metallers Armored saint is playing its first ever concert in Paris, France just a few days after playing the French Sonisphere in Metz.
The band formed at the beginning of the 80's disbanded in 1992 when John Bush left for Anthrax, the band is back together since 2008.
Small gathering of fans outside but when the band is taking the stage by storm it's quite full.
Classic line-up (John Bush , Phil Sandoval, Joey Vera, Gonzo Sandoval) with Jeff Duncan on guitars.
The band is happy to finally play in Paris and is rocking like maniacs on the the tiny stage.
The band never had the success they deserved, too bad they do have great Heavy Rock songs.
John's singing hasn't changed a bit, wonder how it would have sounded in Metallica.
The band is playing all the classics way back from their first ep, they're also playing a brand new song "Monkey" dedicated to a L.A. douchbag.
John's family: wife & kids are watching from the wings of the stage
The Encore is epic with "Lesson well learned", on "Can U Deliver" & " Mad house" John is inviting his younger kid on stage to "play" some guitar (see video below). all in a very friendly and lively atmosphere.
great set

setlist, merchandising & drum skin signed

"Can U Deliver" with John's kid on -guitar-

BB KING @ Grand Rex, Paris July 09 2012

BB KING @ Grand Rex, Paris July 09 2012
Still alive & kicking BB KING is touring at age 86.
He's coming to Paris (almost) every year, in 2011 he played the very same theatre ( on June 30), in 2009 it was @ Palais des Congres.
As usual the band is playing for 10 minutes without him then he enters the stage carefully with his entourage, he seats on a chair, puts on his guitar and there we go for a good hour with a legend.

The guitar playing is very decent, much better than... Chuck Berry who's at almost the same age is absolutely awful.
There are still lots of talking between songs but tonight he played much more guitar than last time, as usual he's doing his funny faces while playing.
No new songs , just a Best of... with Thrill is gone (here on video) Rock me baby...

There's a 8 piece band to support him with a guitar player that is taking the lead a couple of times but Mr King is doing all the vocals with a strong voice and the guitar playing, once again, is neat.
After 60min+ his entourage is back on stage to help him giving out plectrums, badges... to the first rows, he's also signing a few autographs to fans.
He puts on his hat, is standing up and that's already the end.
Might be short but remember he's 86 years old.
I'd like to see Bruce Springsteen performing at his age.

Dawn Landes @ Oliver Peel Session, Paris July 07 2012

Dawn Landes @ Oliver Peel Session, Paris July 07 2012
Another lovely girl playing folk music @ Oliver's. It's taking place on the rooftop of his new apartment in the 17th district.
Everything was going smoothly until the neighbor from two levels below complained about the noise, threatening our host. What an asshole !
Show had to be stopped for a moment and we all went back inside into the living room trying not to make any noise.

We all had a great time but I guess this is the last ever session at this place as this asshole probably complain to the landlord on monday morning.
We shall see.

Bruce Springsteen
Part 2 @ Paris Bercy 2, July 05 2012
Part 1 is HERE with full setlist more Pics & video.
Once again The Boss proved that he 's the Boss with a 3h40 min show , 15 different songs compare to yesterday's gig.
Once again a great atmosphere in the audience with everyone standing up and dancing from the first to the last song.
Sold-out with probably 18 000 people as the stalls behind the stage were full up, usually it's never open.

Once again ROCKERPARIS and our photographer, Patrice Guino are bringing you the best pictures and video available from both gigs with full setlist (in Part 1).

At age 63 Bruce Springsteen is rocking like he's 25 years old.
One of the highlight of the year 2012 for us @ Rockerparis and YOu know that we're attending around 200 gigs a year.

We were also lucky to get Patti for the Parisian concerts, probably a first on the European Tour.
We also had a few "premieres" on this tour (check setlist for full details).
