Coldplay @ Bercy, Paris Dec 14 2011 & Jarvis Cocker @ Agnes B

Vernissage @ Moretti & Moretti @ 6:30 pm

First there is a Vernissage @ Moretti & Moretti Galerie near Bastille with some street artists (Miss Tic, Konny Steding, Jef Aerosol and many others...) who are probably NOT street artists anymore considering the price they are selling their shit. Some good and some very bad but we'll talk about this later... so stay tuned
Jarvis Cocker @ Agnes B @ 7:15 pm

Then we went to the Agnes B store near St Eustache where Jarvis Cocker was doing a reading from his new book, we missed the beginning, it was more crowded than yesterday for Josh T Pearson's acoustic set.
Jarvis then sold a lot of books and people had it signed. We left for Bercy...

And...Coldplay @ Paris Bercy, Dec 14 2011 @ 9: 00pm
Balloons, confettis... Let's Party !

Sold -out Bercy for Coldplay, second time in a couple of months as they've played a theatre show in Paris @ La Cigale on Oct 31.
It's party time @ Paris Bercy as everyone has a wristband that would lit up several times during the set so everyone is waving his hands like maniacs to great effects.
They could have done in with cell phones it would have been more ecological.
They've also used lots of confettis at the beginning of the show and some big balloons.
There's a catwalk that Chris is using several times , the band will play a couple of songs there in the middle of the crowd.

SETLIST:
1) Mylo Xyloto 2) Hurts like Heaven 3) Yellow 4) In my place 5) Major Minus 6) Lost 7) Shiver 8) Violet Hill 9) God puts a smile... 10) The Scientist 11) Up in Flames 12) Up against the world (On B Stage) 13) Politic 14)Viva la vida 15) Charlie Brown 16) Paradise Encore 17) Clocks 18) Fix You 19) Every teardrop...

Entertaining show, you know what we're thinking about the music, the first 2 albums were great then it went from bad to worse.
Considering their stardom and after 5 hit records it's a bit strange that they're only on stage for 95 min.
I guess that was enough for us even though the show was better than expected
Pass -sheet

Josh T Pearson @ Agnes B store, Paris Dec 12 2011

Josh T Pearson @ Agnes B Store, Paris Dec 12 2011
Agnes B with Rough Trade record store for a week on the first floor of the female store in Rue du Jour just next to the St Eustache Church where we saw Patti Smith performed an acoustic set last month.
Around 50 people to attend Josh's showcase, as usual he's laid back so is the audience, he only performed 3 songs but there are between 7 min and 15 min long.
He took time afterwards to introduced himself to everybody in the room and have a chat with girls.

The Ting Tings @ Caroussel du Louvre for Deezer, Paris Dec 08 2011

The Tings Tings' private show @ Caroussel du Louvre, Paris, Dec 08 2011
For Deezer worldwide launch with Facebook & Orange
Some Girls & Big Oils are out in force including French Minister for culture

LeWeb11 is organizing 2-3 days of conferences about the Internet and they had the good idea to have a huge party with The Ting Tings to celebrate the worldwide launch of French streaming Cie Deezer in collaboration with Big Brother's FaceFuck & Orange.

Lots of sexy girls in the audience, it's always a pleasure, and lots of free booze at the bars.
It's the first time we're attending a Ting Tings' gig and we only know a couple of songs that were played on radio from their first album.
No preconceived mind about this English duet...well maybe about their clothes !!!
Anyway, even though there are only the two of them on stage, it's sounding good, they do have some pre-recorded stuff but not that much.
The girl is doing the show running everywhere, including a small trip into the audience and headbanging like a Metallica fan during "Seek & Destroy".
The guy is playing Drums, some guitars and Keys and the chick is playing guitars and keys and singing of course.
They do have some cool songs that are rocking with a pop/dance beat and feeling.
I'm not too convinced with the more electro tunes, luckily most of the songs are rocking.
I'm not too familiar with the repertoire but out of 9 songs they've probably performed 5-6 new songs.
Nice 45 min set.
