In fact we've missed Slayer as we couldn't get on stage with them and as we were starving we decided to eat something. From the catering area behind the stage we could hear that it was really powerful, much more than any other bands playing before.

I'm not a Slayer freak but i'm sure it was great , " Angel of death" is still ringing in my hear even though we were in the gymnasium having a hot meal.

But we needed to get ready for KISS

Motorhead is second on the bill just before KISS on the main stage 1 ( Slayer will play after on the main stage 2).

We have the best seat in the house once again. It's getting chilly & windy in Clisson but we have Motorheard to warm us up.

Classic show from Motorhead and the boys with the usual setlist : "Going to brazil", "Ace of Spades" (here on video), and so on... I don't remember them playing any songs from " Another perfect day".

Thanks to those bastards from the SNCF ( french rail) we had to wait a couple of hours in the beautiful city of Nantes to get a train to Clisson which is only 20 miles away so we couldn't get there in time to see English Metallers Saxon.
Anyway we had a walk around the city and visited the beautiful castle & churches.

We've missed the beginning of Mondo Generator feat. Nick Oliveri ( ex- Queens of the Stone Age)
Once again we're on stage , the band is playing in the Terrorizer Tent which holds a couple thousands of people and from our point of view it seems to be packed.
The music is really heavy & Nick is screaming like a maniac.
The audience went mad when they've played QOTSA songs at the end of the 40 min set.

The legendary ALICE COOPER is headlining this second day of the Hellfest.
Unlike Twisted Sister which were playing this afternoon Alice Cooper is still releasing new albums every two years & like many "old" artists the audience just wanna hear the old favorites

Alice Cooper is putting a great show as always with lots of stage props : Gallows pole, Guillotine,huge serynge ....

Hes' cut into pieces, decapitated, hang, shot but he's always winning in the end.
It's a best of setlist with a couple of new songs (from "Theatre of death" ?) thrown in.

I thought his voice was a bit weak from time to time.
Once again he has new musicians with him and they are perfect

Great gig.

As we arrived on the site 3 members from American band Twisted Sister were doing a signing session, lots of fans were queueing as it's probably the first time ever that they're seeing them face to face.
I was expecting a lot from TWISTED SISTER , we never saw them on a stage before as the last time they've played in France was in 1986 @ Casino de Paris.

They started the show with " Come out and play" which was the most recent song they've played tonight. They're acting like all those Classic Rock bands with their fame behind them (too bad) , they just give the kids what they want.
What do they want ? Classic songs from the old days

The whole set consisted of classics from the first 3 albums " Under the Blade", "You can't stop Rock'n Roll" and " Stay Hungry".
Don't know why but this band has been under-estimated, they have so many great songs and on a stage Dee Snider is an animal, a great performer with a powerful precense and a powerful voice.

There was only one song I've never heard of, I've been told it was a new one and they've done a touching tribute to a great legend RONNIE JAMES DIO by playing "Long live Rock'n Roll" from Rainbow (here on video).

It's hard to consider them a heavy Metal band they're just a great Rock'N Roll band.
Too bad they were NOT dressed with full gear and make up.
Now they're looking, like in the old days, a gang of (old) bikers.
