Steve Miller is back in Paris just two years after playing the
Zénith on Oct 14 2010, this time he's playing the Olympia theatre in the heart of Paris.
Unfortunately and should I say once again it's far from being full, Hard to believe that Steve Miller is not popular in France. Steve has a new album out: Let Your Hair Down full of blues cover but no new material, his first albums before he hit big time with "The Joker" have also been remastered.
The stage is very simple, 2 years ago the backdrop was full of Guitars

tonight we have Big ears (?!?)
, the lightning is bright and the sound perfect
and not too loud.
The show couldn't start better with "Jungle Love" Take the money & run" "The stake"...all classic songs from the back catalogue, in fact tonigth we're having ALL the classic songs plus a few blues cover.
Steve Miller is center playing playing some fine guitars, always with a kind word to introduce the songs and the audience is religiously listening to the man, maybe a bit too much as the atmosphere is much too quiet for a rock show, The acoustic part didn't help the audience getting wild.
The encore with "The Joker" had finally everyone standing up and getting closer to the stage, it was time.
Great 100 min+ set
, too bad the audience was too quiet.
