Le chanteur d'un des plus grands groupe de Hard Rock, Bruce Dickinson d' Iron Maiden pour ne pas le nommer, nous sort son autobiographie.

On ne sait pas si le bonhomme a des choses intéressantes à nous raconter, on aura tout le temps de lire ça pendant les vacances de Noël. Mais quoiqu’il en soit les fans d' Iron Maiden sont venus en nombre pour cette séance de dédicace.

Après avoir récupérés des bracelets dimanche et lundi matin, les Champs Elysées se remplissent d'une foule bigarrée et patchée, comme à la grande époque des années 80.

Chaque fan est bien élevé, il ne serait en être autrement, et attends patiemment son tour sur le pavé avant d'entrer dans la FNAC, qui a mis les petits plats dans les grands afin d'accueillir le hurleur. Un service d'ordre conséquent est prévu -pour éviter tout débordement- mais toujours avenant.

Le chanteur multi cartes ( il est aussi pilote, escrimeur, brasseur de bière...)  va rester plus de deux heures à signer à tour de bras son livre ( ainsi que des vinyles et cds) que vont lui présenter les plus de 400 fans présents ce soir.

Chacun aura la possibilité de repartir avec sa photo avec Bruce, prise par le staff de la Fnac aux petits soins.

showcase see ya there

Petit concert promo, accompagné de deux musiciens -un aux claviers et samples et un à la basse- pour la sortie du nouvel album, pas la foule des grands soirs mais à la cool.
4-5 titres dont une reprise de Donovan "The Unviversal soldier" parce qu'il aime bien Donovan et qu'il a vu des affiches dans Paris pour son concert à l'Olympia.
Le tout suivie d'une petite séance de dédicace.

We had nothing to sign, I mean we gave up listening to that band years ago but we popped up there so we can get a few pics, lots of dedicated fans and you HAD to buy the new album in order to get it signed. They didn't want to sign anything else and the security was watching.Nice.

Placebo played yesterday night @ Album de la Semaine, they've performed around 15 songs and replayed one song three times as they were not satisfied with it from what I've been told.

Asaf is promoting his new album with some more showcases in Paris, after playing L'Album de la Semaine for Canal+ last week , Taratata tv show for France 2 and a showcase for Le Mouv' radio (click on link for podcast) yesterday night at the Maison de la Radio in Paris.

Very cool 8-9 songs set with Asaf alone on acoustic guitar performing songs from the new album, many girls in the audience, lots of people were already queuing 30 min before 6:00pm.
He was in a chatty mood between songs and even joked about the fact that he sounded like a girl.
After his performance , he signed cds for fans

French singer  Benjamin Biolay is promoting his latest album by playing a small acoustic show @ Fnac Montparnasse on this friday night. We are a bit late and... and it's packed, impossible to get in. Impossible is NOT Rockerparis so we managed to get in a nd get a good spot on the side.
I've never really paid attention to what he's doing and heard any of his songs and in fact it was much better than expected. Can't be bad with so evident Serge Gainsbourg influences.
Should listen to his records one day.

The only time we saw Benjamin Biolay on a stage was for the play Pop'Pea @ theatre du Chatelet last May (also featuring Carl Barat, Marc Almond among others) and the poor sucker was ridiculous singing English so was the play.

40 min free showcase @ Fnac store in Paris for Richard Hawley, strangely enough not too many people turned up for this free gig, yesterday's show @ Bouffes du Nord was sold-out.
Go figure it out !
They've missed something, classy gig with full band and gear with Richard Hawley before going back to London.
He sat down on a chair for the whole set as he broke his leg in Spain, he didn't need to stand up as every song he played was a slow and "classy"song. Great songwriting and arrangements.
I've never really check what he has done musically as he played in Pulp and I've always hated all these English pop bands back in the 90's.
Big mistake...at least for Richard.
