Jenny & Johnny @ L'Album de la Semaine, Canal+

Famous Canal+ TV show is welcoming american duet ( they are 4 on stage) Jenny & Johnny They are promoting their first album together " I'm having fun now".
In fact it seems that the girl Jenny Lewis is a bit wellknown on her own before, and is playing with her longtime boyfriend young actor Jonathan Rice ( who played Roy Orbison in the Johnny Cash biopic Walk The Line), he also produced Jenny before and she, in turn, played on his last solo album "Further Noth".
We didn't know any of this before seeing them tonight.
Very nice set of college rock radio between early REM when Johnny is singing and a more pop sound when Jenny is singing with some 50's influences thrown in (for the sound).
They're sharing or singing together on most of the other songs.
They ended the set as a duet on acoustic guitar with " Love Hurts" by The Everly Brothers (if I get it right).Gram Persons & Emmylou Harris, Nazareth also covered this song.
They will be opening for Vampire Weekend on Nov 17 @ Zénith in Paris so don't forget to be there early.
